The English man Jofra Archer said on Sunday that he had finally found the medal of his World Cup winner after "going crazy" in search of valuable possession after moving house.

The 25-year-old bowling player Sussex published a photograph of the medal on a bed with the caption: "Random search in the guest room and boom".

Archer, when asked previously where his medal was, said on BBC Radio on Saturday: "I made him hang out of a portrait someone made for me and sent me, I had my medal hanging on that.

"I moved flat and the photo is on the new wall but there is no medal. I have overturned the house for about a week but I still haven't been able to find it.

Last year the Barbados-born Archers established themselves on the global scene as they helped England win their first men's 50-plus world title, with its 20 wickets at 23.05 the most caught by any team member of champions during the tournament.

Archer, who made his international debut only in 2019, also had the daunting responsibility of launching Super Over in the Lord's final.

But he remained brilliantly nervous when England cut New Zealand into an exciting final countdown to the limit when the teams' scores were in balance after both the regular game and cricket's response to "overtime".
