Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh expressed his admiration and love for the number one footballer in the world, Lionel Messi, as the handyman of whom he said he would prefer to bring the Argentine with him if he ever had the chance to go to the moon.
Shakib followed in the footsteps of his teammate Mushfiqur Rahim when he decided to auction one of his favorite bats to raise money to fight the coronavirus crisis. And yesterday, in an online charity auction session, organized by a page called 'Auction 4 Action' on social media, Shakib's favorite club, which he used during the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup in England, was sold for the price of 20 lakh Taka. It was purchased by Raj, a Bangladesh who currently resides in the United States.
During the live charity auction session, Shakib answered questions from fans around the world. An interesting question came from a fan, who asked the handyman premier other than his wife Shishir, whom Shakib would have brought with him if he ever had the chance to go to the moon.
"Messi," chuckled Shakib as he answered the question.
Lionel Messi, who plays for Barcelona and Argentina, has won numerous awards in his career and is considered the best striker in the world. Messi, who has won a record six Ballon d'Or awards, has millions of fans around the world and it seems that Shakib, who in turn has won many awards, is also a big fan of the Argentine superstar.
